Product details

Variomat
Control unit, Hydraulics and control module for pressurisation, degassing, and water make-up in sealed heating water and cooling circuits.Constructed in compliance with DIN EN 12828 and the requirements of VDI 4708, with CE marking.Suitable for use in noise-sensitive areas.

Functional unit comprising a hydraulic part and a Control Basic operating unit. Both are ergonomically combined in an easy-to-maintain modular floor-standing framework system made of EV 1 anodized aluminium precision sections and with CE marking.

Hydraulic part:
Pressure maintenance is implemented using a stainless steel circulation pump in conjunction with a rugged dirt-insensitive motorised ball valve with upstream dirt trap as an overflow device. A safety relief valve is included to act as a pressure safeguard for the Variomat VG primary tank and/or VF secondary tank that are to be connected. The system pressure is measured with an electronic sensor. Pressure-side system connections are implemented as backed up shut-off valves. All fittings are located on a rotatable base plate to enable a variable hydraulic system arrangement.

The Control Basic control unit is integrated in a robust plastic housing in which both the power and communication electronics and the control panel with dirt-resistant membrane-covered keyboard is housed. Control Basic is a fully automatic, freely configurable microprocessor control with real-time clock, differentiating error and parameter memory, two line plain text display for system pressure, tank filling level and all relevant operating and fault messages, LED display for operating modes and general error messaging. Communication electronics comprising:

  • RS 485 port as data interface or for the connection of optional communication components
  • Potential-free output for the forwarding of the collective message
  • Digital input for signal processing of a contact water meter
  • 230V output for connection of level-dependent makeup/degassing stations
Control unit completely assembled and wired ready for connection according to VDE regulations, mains power cable and mains plug, system connections by means of integrated shut-off valves.

Functioning of the pressurisation in the limits +/- 0.2 bar including pump monitoring. Optimised system water degassing due to patented, fully-automatic overflow control with cycles for continuous, interval and run-on degassing. Controlled make-up, automatic interruption and fault message upon exceeding of the runtime and/or the number of cycles. Processing of the signal of a contact water meter for maximum volume limit and/or capacity evaluation of ion exchangers located in the make-up line. Documentation and control of the entire system in respect of the above mentioned parameters.

9119352 - motorized ball valve Safecontrol

Safecontrol
Motor ball valve as conversion kit for water make-up in conjunction with Servitec and Variomat.

Actuation takes place directly from the control unit. The dirt-resistant motor ball valve is spring-closed without any need for an electrical supply.

Hydraulic and electrical connections must be made on-site.

7945600 - Commissioning Cat. 1

Service description:
commissioning category 1 for a standard system in the product ranges Reflexomat, Variomat or Servitec incl. primary vessel and water make-up unit by the customer service, comprising:
  • without travel and departure expenses,
  • Adjustment of system to the operating parameters specified by the client,
  • Checking the settings and operating parameters, and the system's performance and function in the overall system,
  • Fillsoft and Fillset are checked too
  • All set values documented in a report.

Requirements:

  • electrical and hydraulic connection of the control unit, the accessory components and filled supply system.
  • The expansion vessels of the pressurisation station must not be filled with water.
  • A sufficient supply of filling water must be provided.

Customer benefits:
While it is entirely possible for customers to put a recently purchased system into service themselves, there are a number of reasons why commissioning by Reflex is a better idea.

  • Certainty that the system is set up for optimum operation
  • Excluding of possible damage due to incorrect commissioning thus reliability and avoidance of time and costs for downtimes

Commissioning date:
the service can take place within the local country inside about three weeks, internationally within about six weeks after placing of the corresponding order.
Services provided by Service are net! The price does not include any site waiting times or work arising from improper installation or improper condition.

Programming of the expansion and bus modules does not form part of commissioning. Programming is billed separately based on time and expenditure.

8997705 - I/O module VS

I/O module
Expansion for controllers of Reflexomat, Variomat and Servitec control units.

With two isolating amplifiers for the pressure and level sensing signals. Six digital input contacts and six floating output contacts are used to process messages and alarms. Everything in its own plastic housing for direct integration in the corresponding control unit or optionally for wall mounting.

Individual description:

  • Digital input: -freely programmable, 6 off, 3 off as NC contact, 24V self-potential, default configuration e.g. for external temperature monitoring, min. pressure signal, manual make-up, and 3 off as NO contact, 230V external potential. Default configuration as NO contact, e.g. for emergency shutdown, manual mode pump/compressor, manual mode overflow facility.
  • Digital output: -freely programmable, 6 off. As floating change-over contact, default configuration e.g. for signalling of water make-up faults, minimum pressure undershot, maximum pressure exceeded or manual/stop operating mode.

All the above contacts can be freely configured by Reflex service according to the available information.

Installation: Plastic switch cabinet housing can be inserted in the provided mounting slot of the control unit, as an alternative to on site wall mounting or installation in other switch cabinets.

The wiring to the control unit is likewise performed on site.

8860000 - bus module Lonworks Digital

Bus-Module Lonworks Digital
Bus module for conversion of the digital message(s) from the microprocessor controls Control Basic or Touch of Variomat, Reflexomat or Servitec into the Lonworks Digital data telegram.

The cable connection to the Control microprocessor controller takes place over its potential-free contacts and must be site-provided analogously to the power supply. On the LonWorks side there is an interface with FFT-10 A Transceiver .

Other digital messages can also be converted in conjunction with the I/O module (option).

Installation:
Plastic switch cabinet housing for on site wall mounting or installation in other switch cabinets.

The wiring to the control unit is likewise performed on site. Commissioning and wiring does not form part of the scope of delivery.
